Key Considerations for the Reserve
This reserve is currently under the Plan of Management for Stanwell Park Reserve and Bald Hill Lookout which was adopted under the Crown Land Management Act 1989 and the Local Government Act 1993, but does not meet the requirements of the Crown Land Management Act 2016. This reserve includes a patrolled beach, hang-gliding activities, a playground, tennis courts, significant natural values, a new kiosk, and part of the Stanwell Park and Helensburgh Surf Life Saving Club building.

The reserve is not declared to be ‘Critical Habitat’ or land directly affected by a Recovery Plan. However, the following may be present as noted below. Presence of EECs MU5 – Littoral Rainforest, MU53 – Sydney Freshwater Wetlands, MU? – Themeda Grassland. The area is included in the Coastal Management SEPP and the Wetland or Littoral Rainforest SEPP.
