Consultation has concluded.
Council has identified the need to undertake essential remediation works on the sea wall at Wombarra Beach, to prevent further erosion of the beach and land. The proposed works include:
- Construction of a new sea wall in front of the existing failing sea wall
- Removal of existing stairs and the construction of new access stairs to
the beach/pool - Construction of a rock armour sea wall to provide protection for the
embankment, north of the existing sea wall and ramp - Maintenance of existing grassed beach access track
- Construction of a new beach access ramp for pool maintenance
We are planning to complete the work in stages over the next 18 months and will provide more details nearer the time of actual construction. During works, the pool will not be closed.
